چکیده

Objectives: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures are associated with instability, meniscus injuries, difficulties sports, and ultimately post-traumatic osteoarthritis. End stage knee arthritis is often treated total arthroplasty (TKA). To assess the effectiveness of any treatment for ACL natural history ACL-deficient must be considered. The objective this longitudinal study to establish a baseline by tracking subjective outcomes knees over 54 years. Results analyzed in light 6 previous iterations knee. Ten year follow-up study comparing conservative versus operative treatment of anterior cruciate ligament ruptures. A matched-pair analysis of high level athletes.

OBJECTIVE To compare long term outcome of highly active patients with anterior cruciate ligament ruptures treated operatively versus non-operatively. DESIGN We reviewed high level athletes with an anterior cruciate ligament rupture on either MRI or arthroscopic evaluation more than 10 years previously, who were treated conservatively. They were pair-matched with patients who had had an anteri...

Revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with hamstring tendon autograft: 5- to 9-year follow-up.

BACKGROUND The results of revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction are limited in the current literature, and no studies have previously documented the outcome of revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using solely hamstring tendon grafts. HYPOTHESIS Revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with 4-strand hamstring tendon graft affords acceptable results and is ...

Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Replacement Using a Bone - Tendon - Bone Autograft – A Prospective 5 Year Follow - Up Study

Purpose: To investigate the outcomes of an open and an arthroscopic technique for the reconstruction of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). Methods: This prospective randomized controlled trial includes 126 patients. 65 were assigned to an open ACL replacement and 61 to an arthroscopic ACL replacement, always using Bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) autografts. Outcome assessment included rerup...

Profile of bilateral anterior cruciate ligament injuries: a retrospective follow-up study.

PURPOSE To assess the mechanism of injury of anterior cruciate ligaments, surgical results, and radiographic findings among patients with bilateral knee injuries, and to compare these features with those of patients sustaining unilateral injuries. METHODS From 1977 to 1988, among 458 patients with injury of anterior cruciate ligament operated in our hospital, 11 were of bilateral injury, in w...
